Copper and Metalwork Services

Nothing beats copper for function, finish, durability, and visual appeal on a new or historical home, so it frequently plays a major part in many Colonial Craftsmen roofing projects. A few of the most frequent uses are roof panels, flashing, valleys, gutters and downspouts, snow rails, and ice belts.

When it comes to working with copper, the beauty is in the details and taking shortcuts never makes sense. For strength and durability, Colonial Craftsmen uses 20 oz. heavyweight copper sheeting for all their work. Whenever possible, all copper gutter and downspout joints are made with solder instead of silicone, and strip mitres and box mitres are avoided.

Of course, copper isn't the always the best fit for every application. Colonial Craftsmen also works with other metals as the need, application, or design requires.
