Rubber roofs are ideal for low-pitch roofs, but provide unique challenges of their own. To replace this 20 year-old roof, it was necessary to remove the existing rubber roof, then remove the original tar and gravel roof before replacement could even begin. The entire roof was covered in heavily screwed 1/2" plywood, then fully sealed with .060 rubber, which will hold up well and allow for easier repairs if/when needed.
